Dr. Lambert Ofoegbu

Lambert Ofoegbu holds a Ph.D. in Management from Walden University, USA, specializing in Leadership and Organizational Change. As a multidisciplinary professional, he brings three decades of experience in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management (P3M) with the added advantage of integrating organizational strategy across lean- agile optimal Operations amid Organizational Development. He is a Registered Urban & Regional Planner and holds two masters’ degrees being the M.Sc. in Operations & Supply Chain Management (University of Liverpool, United Kingdom) and an MBA in Project Management Technology (Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria), amongst other of his post-graduate qualifications.

He is the Immediate Past President of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Nigeria Chapter after being a Founding Member of PMI Nigeria amongst other Board Membership roles. He is an Alumnus of PMI’s Leadership Institute Master Class (LIMC-2020). At the Global Level, Dr. Ofoegbu is currently a Member of the PMI Global Chapter Insight Team. Professional certifications to Dr. Ofoegbu’s accolade include Project Management Professional (PMP®); Project Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP®); Organizational Project Management Professional (OPM3®); Chartered Fellow Project Manager (CFPM) as well as being a Procurement Professional (MCIPS) by the virtues of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply United Kingdom. He is also a Life Alumnus of Lagos Business School (LBS).

Dr. Ofoegbu achieved the great strides of being one of the PMI’s scholar-practitioners that developed Global Practice Standards. He co-developed the Standard for Project Risk Management (2009); co-authored the Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3) Standard 3rd Edition (2013); co-established the Construction Extension Guide to the PMBOK® Guide 5th Edition (2016); as well as the Project Manager Competency Development Framework (PMCDF) 3rd Edition (2017). He participated in Cut-Score and Item Writing for PMI-RMP Certification Exam; Exposure Draft Reviewer for Project Risk Management Standard; Mega Exam Development Workshops, to mention but a few.

He is in the ranks of global scholars by being the theorist of the “Emotional Extent Effect” (EEE). Lambert is the publisher of the PMforesight® Magazine of Project Management Perspectives in Africa. Dr. Ofoegbu is a Lead Faculty in the Master of Project Management Program at the Rome Business School Nigeria. He has consulted across industries in Nigeria on notable projects and possesses a bunch of international exposure in the Arab World.
